Bike routes

Exploring Cavallino-Treporti by bike is a sustainable way to get to know the culture and landscape of this area, relive stress and having fun.

Since 2018 Cavallino-Treporti has received the recognition of the Fiab Yellow Flag with 5 bike smiles

We have designed 4 itineraries for you, starting and finishing from our resort, to enjoy nature on two wheels.

1. LIGHTHOUSE AND LAGOON ROUTE

Km: 16

Road: mixed

Difficulty level:

The Lighthouse and Lagoon Route runs along the two seafronts of the area: Lungomare Dante Alighieri – with its Faro Pagoda and the MOSE – and Lungomare San Felice – a beautiful panoramic terrace overlooking the Lagoon; here, on days with clear skies, it is possible to recognize in the distance – beyond the water – the Burano and Torcello Islands.

2. NATURE ROUTE

Km: 25

Road: asphalt

Difficulty level:

Il The Nature Route runs along roads less travelled by traffic and is designed for those who want to enjoy a different kind of bike ride. It takes in inland roads and unusual landscapes.

3. ANCIENT ROUTE

Km: 20

Road: asphalt

Difficulty level:

The Ancient Route is a route to discover the oldest area of the territory: Treporti, Lio Piccolo and Mesole. But it is also a good opportunity to enjoy the lagoon panorama from the Ricevitoria.

4. HISTORICAL-MILITARY ROUTE

Km: 10

Road: asphalt

Difficulty level:

The Historical-Military Route is perfect for those who want to get to know the three most important military monuments in the area: Vettor Pisani Battery (now a museum), Amalfi Battery and Treporti Fort (the latter can only be visited from outside).

Tip : taking a photo at sunset in front of the mulberry tree located outside of the Treporti Fort is a must (the most famous tree in Cavallino-Treporti)

5. SUSPENDED PATH OVER THE LAGOON -NEW!

Km: 23

Road: mixed

Difficulty level:

The Route suspended over the Lagoon connects the two main bicycle paths in Cavallino-Treporti: the bicycle path in Via Fausta and the new suspended bicycle path in Via Pordelio

It is possible to follow the proposed itinerary by first starting from the cycle path in Via Fausta, or conversely, to begin with the one in Via Pordelio.

Our advice is to ride the suspended section during sunset, so as to enjoy the magnificent lagoon panorama.
